We started the day with some school work, breakfast from the hotel, and then hit the road for the Doubling Point Lighthouse. We traveled down some narrow windy roads and arrived to find that the lighthouse was being painted and was covered with ladders and buckets of paint. We strategically snapped a few pictures to document our visit but didn’t spend much time exploring so that the workers could continue uninterrupted.

We then drove to Sister’s Gourmet Deli in downtown Bath and attempted to order food. We had some attitude problems and a mishap with our orders which resulted in about an hour’s wait before we could eat what turned out to be very good food. I decided I needed a nap before continuing with our day and since we were right by our hotel, we stopped for an hour of naps and/or electronics time. One hour turned into about 4 hours before any of us felt like leaving.
After finally getting it together we headed to Popham beach. Lack of phone internet service resulted in an additional 30 minutes of driving before we finally found the beach, but once there, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and stayed until the park closed for the evening.
