The fourth day of our Irish adventure brought the best weather yet, with temperatures around 18°C and beautiful, sunny skies. Our first stop of the mornings were the astonishing Cliffs of Moher, which rise impressively above the Atlantic Ocean. Though the entire visitors section offered great views, the best vantage point was on the well-traveled dirt path beyond the main walkways.

After photographing another ruined castle, we drove through the Burren, a land described as “country where there is not enough water to drown a man, wood enough to hang one, nor earth enough to bury him.” North of the Burren in Kinvara, we toured the Dunguaire Castle, and then drove to Galway for fish and chips at McDonough’s in the city centre.

Reading the road signs is more confusing than driving on the left side of the road.
We’re going to try to catch up a bit on sleep tonight, then are off early on our way to Northern Ireland for a couple days exploring Derry, Belfast and the Antrim Coast.
Loved the road signs. Can’t even imagine. More fish & chips make we want to visit Ireland.
Hurrah! Better weather, still praying!!Craig and I are keeping up with you every day.
