Twelve days after seeing the A’s in Kansas City, Dad, Kevin, and I made our first trip to Target Field in Minneapolis to see the Mariners. We left Ankeny midday, giving us time in the Twin Cities to swing by IKEA and make a stop for ice cream at Pumphouse Creamery before arriving at the ballpark.

The Vincent Burger $14
1/3 Pound Char-Grilled All Beef Burger stuffed with Braised Short Rib and Smoked Gouda with Lettuce, Tomato and Red Onion on a Brioche Roll.
Inside, we grabbed dinner to go from the Townball Tavern, one of three restaurants in the stadium. The Vincent Burger was pretty tasty, a variation on the Minneapolis classic Juicy Lucy. Instead of the traditional cheddar cheese stuffing, the Vincent featured braised short rib and smoked gouda.
Felix Hernandez rolled in the game, allowing just five hits in his complete game shutout. The 2 hour, 10 minute time of game was helpful for the long drive home.
