We made the short drive from our Airbnb to Montpelier to check out Vermont’s capitol building and the smallest capital city in the United States. After our tour, we meandered to nearby Barre, where The Meltdown Grilled Cheese received high marks from most of our family but may not have quite lived up to expectations from the sky-high Google rating. We took a hike to wade into some streams before it started raining, the girls tried creemees, we tried a new spot for dinner, and Noah and I returned to Monteplier to buy a couple of board games for our Airbnb.
